ONPU_2018_3The team of Odessa National Polytechnic University, while creating educational materials and conducting experimental classes with students in the field of computer game design and development under the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "GameHub: University-Enterprises Cooperation in Game Industry in Ukraine" (561728-EPP-1-2015-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP), increasingly agrees that this direction can be a tool in the STEAM (Science + Technology + Engineering + Art + Mathematics) educational concept for school education.

That is why representatives of the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "MoPED: Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education by Innovative Teaching Tools" (586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) were invited to one of the seminars for teachers titled "Designing educational computer games as a form of active student learning." ONPU_2018_5They were Viktoriia Nesterenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy, and Iryna Mardarova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy at the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky. The meeting was important both for the GameHub project, which is approaching maturity, and for the newly born MoPED project.
