The All-Ukrainian NGO "Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals" became a partner of the All-Ukrainian Winter School "Competencies of the Future: Digital Tools and Psychological Resilience." More than 70 educators from Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, Sumy, and other parts of Ukraine took part in the school's activities from January 5 to 7.
The main goal of the event was to develop key competencies of the future by combining digital skills and psychological resilience. The program was implemented in two main areas:
Within the framework of the first area, UAITP Vice President Olena Chaikovska delivered a lecture dedicated to a comprehensive analysis of digital competence as the foundation of modern education. The lecturer examined in detail the concept of digital intelligence (DQ) as a set of technical, cognitive, and socio-emotional skills based on moral values. Olena Chaikovska emphasized that digital competence is not just a technical skill, but a complex intellectual and social construct necessary for a safe life in a digital society. A separate section was devoted to the AI competency framework for teachers and students. The speaker presented an important thesis: digital transformation begins not with gadgets, but with people. Technologies themselves do not change education — it is changed by teachers who inspire their students.
The Winter School became a true center of innovation, combining learning, movement, and creative drive. All days of training were accompanied by physical activities at the "Racket Sports Park" sports club: Nordic walking, pickleball, badminton, squash, and table tennis energized the participants for the whole day. And evening workshops on making designer postcards and painting gingerbread cookies became a space for creativity and recovery.
A highlight of the school was the educational battle "Path to Success." Teamwork, unconventional ideas, and lively competition made this moment one of the most emotional.
We thank the organizers and partners of the event:
