On June 12–14, 2026, the XI All-Ukrainian In-person and Remote Summer School "Living in Balance: Physical Culture and Leadership of Change" took place, serving as an important platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, exchange of experience, and the implementation of modern educational practices.

The event brought together educators, scientists, and experts from various fields to develop a new culture of education based on partnership, trust, and innovation. The organizers were the State Scientific Institution "Institute for the Modernization of Educational Content," Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, as well as the non-governmental organizations "National and Civic Identity" and "Agency for Sustainable Development and Educational Initiatives."

The grand opening took place on June 12 in the Marble Hall of Chernivtsi National University — one of Ukraine's leading higher education institutions, whose architectural complex is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Participants emphasized the importance of education as a key factor in societal resilience and the development of human potential in the face of modern challenges.

Special attention within the program was paid to issues of digital leadership, team building, and educational transformation. Olena Chaikovska, Vice President of the All-Ukrainian NGO "Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals," took an active part in the summer school.

In her report "Digital Leadership," she outlined key approaches to developing leadership competencies in the digital age and presented the results and opportunities of the international project "Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative" (DigiUni), which is being implemented under the Erasmus+ program.

In particular, it was emphasized that the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals is a member of the project consortium, which includes 21 full partners — Ukrainian and European universities — and 5 associated partners, including the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The project is coordinated by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The DigiUni project (2023–2027) is aimed at supporting the operation of universities during wartime and their subsequent recovery, as well as creating an open digital educational environment. Its implementation involves the integration of European experience, the development of digital infrastructure, and the strengthening of cooperation between higher education institutions.

Special emphasis was placed on the opportunities for expanding the DigiUni community through the signing of a Charter, which provides Ukrainian universities with access to the digital tools of the DigiPlatform and facilitates the development of joint educational initiatives.

The participation of the Association's representative in the event demonstrates the important role of the IT community in transforming education, implementing digital solutions, and shaping an innovative educational environment in Ukraine.

The summer school program included panel discussions, training sessions, workshops, and practical activities that helped establish professional contacts and find new approaches to the development of education.

The summer school became a platform for consolidating the efforts of the educational and IT communities, aimed at creating a modern, open, and resilient education system in Ukraine.
