Training within the framework of the DigiUni - Digital University — Open Ukrainian Initiative project of the EU Erasmus+ international program

Representatives of the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals, as part of the DigiUni - Digital University — Open Ukrainian Initiative project of the EU Erasmus+ international program, took part in a training held at the Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland). Representatives of 10 Ukrainian partner universities of the project and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine also participated in the training.
The training participants were welcomed by the Vice-Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University, Professor Rafal Witkowski, who noted that the DigiUni project is being implemented in accordance with the values, standards, and priorities of the European Higher Education Area.
Throughout the week, specialists from Adam Mickiewicz University shared their knowledge and experience regarding the use of innovative technologies in online learning, introduced video and audio content creation technology, and a separate master class was dedicated to using Microsoft Forms for creating forms, tests, and surveys, as well as organizing online meetings using MS Teams.
Professor Adrian Trzoss introduced the Ukrainian representatives to the activities of the EPICUR project consortium. EPICUR is an alliance of 9 European universities, belonging to the first generation of European alliances piloting a new way to intensify cooperation between higher education institutions. EPICUR has come a long way since its inception in 2019; the alliance has laid the foundation for creating a common space for learning and research among its universities. Over the next 10 years, EPICUR will strive to maintain and develop even closer cooperation between researchers, students, and administrative staff to become a full-fledged federation of universities offering a European learning experience and academic training to everyone. The experience of the EPICUR project is extremely important for the members of the DigiUni consortium, as the project is creating a basis for an alliance of Ukrainian universities that are learning to cooperate with each other while building a unified digital educational space based on a common digital educational platform.
The training participants also learned about the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project, which is an example of "virtual mobility" and provides students from different countries and universities with the opportunity to interact with peers and professionals to develop intercultural competencies and digital skills while working together and studying educational components.
The Ukrainian partners are sincerely grateful to the Adam Mickiewicz University team for organizing the training, the interesting tours of various laboratories and professional studios of the university, and for accompanying the group during the study visit.
