March 25, representatives of the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals joined the kick-off meeting of the project partners, which is being implemented within the framework of the European Union's Erasmus+ Program. The main goal of the project is to ensure the digital transformation of education in Ukraine. The meeting was held in a hybrid format at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
KNU Rector Volodymyr BUGROV delivered a welcoming speech, noting that the DigiUni project is currently a response to the large-scale challenges facing the Ukrainian higher education system due to the war and migration. That is why the creation of a digital educational ecosystem for Ukraine will help ensure continuous, high-quality, and inclusive education regardless of the location of the participants in the process.
Although the meeting was interrupted by an air raid siren and explosions, the participants continued their work in a shelter, and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and project coordinator from KNU, Kseniia Smyrnova, noted that "a meeting under explosions is a symbol of how resiliently the University works despite external security challenges."

A representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Director of the Directorate for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Oleksandra Husak, noted that the digital environment to be formed as a result of the project's implementation will make it possible to further strengthen the capacity of our institutions to provide high-quality digital educational services.

Representatives of the DigiUni consortium discussed steps for the practical implementation of the DigiUni initiative. Over the course of four years, representatives of the Ukrainian and European communities will work on seven established work packages; project management strategies and a quality assurance and control system were presented. The participants also discussed the concept of the DigiPlatform as a nationwide digital educational environment that will combine digital capabilities for creating relevant content, the possibility of hosting virtual and remote laboratories, courses and disciplines, educational games, etc.
Advisor to the President and Commissioner for the President's Fund for Education, Science, and Sports, Olha BUDNYK, is convinced that the project will have a huge impact on the national education system. And the coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, in turn, assured that this is primarily about support, partnership, unity, innovation, and opportunities for all project participants.
