IMG_4From May 16 to 19, 2016, the AGH University of Science and Technology (Kraków, Poland) hosted a coordination meeting of partners for the project "GameHub: University-enterprises cooperation in game industry in Ukraine" 561728-EPP-1-2015-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, in which Kherson National Technical University is a participant.

The Ukrainian partners of the project are: National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Odessa Polytechnic University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, and Donetsk National Technical University.

The European partners of the project are: University of Deusto and Foundation of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain), AGH University of Science and Technology (Kraków, Poland), FH Joanneum University (Graz, Austria), Virtualware Labs (Bilbao, Spain), and Quality Austria (Vienna, Austria).

IMG_5001_The coordination meeting program included presentations on innovative approaches to generating business ideas and training sessions on team creative work using the "Design Thinking" methodology, which is used by the world's most famous corporations to create and implement innovative solutions.

In addition, the meeting included a visit to the AGH-UST Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship, a structural unit of the university that specializes in creating conditions for the effective operation of innovative firms that implement original scientific and technical projects by providing these firms with material, information, consulting, and other resources and services.

We were pleasantly impressed by the sincere desire of our Polish partners to share their best experience in conducting business in the field of computer games and interactive entertainment, and to help bring Ukrainian universities to a higher level of development through support and readiness for cooperation.

IMG_5181_During the coordination meeting, we were also very impressed by our visit to the Małopolska Information Technology Park (MITP) in Kraków.

Representatives of the MITP conducted an interesting tour, where the Ukrainian partners were primarily able to see how industrial parks function in Poland, how they can independently create and implement their development strategies, and how they can maximize their potential to attract investors.

We saw how one can create their own gaming brand and become popular with investors, even with limited potential, by using it correctly.
