On November 15 and 21, 2017, two overview lectures for the "Introduction to the Specialty" course on the topic of computer game design were held at the Institute of Computer Systems of the Odessa National Polytechnic University for 50 first-year students of the "Computer Science" specialty and 15 students of "Software Engineering". The lectures were dedicated to the Erasmus+ KA2 project "GameHub: University-Enterprise Cooperation in the Game Industry in Ukraine".
O.A. Blazhko, Associate Professor of the Department of System Software (SS) and the Department of Information Systems, told the students about the GameHub project and reviewed the classification of computer games, focusing on types of human-computer interaction.
S.Yu. Marulin, PhD in Technical Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of SS, spoke about neurocomputer interfaces based on electroencephalography using NeuroSky, Emotiv Insight, and Emotiv EPOC technologies, which allow a person to interact with a computer through cerebral cortex signals. V.A. Luhovskyi, a 4th-year student of the group, demonstrated the training process of Emotiv Insight.
