Training within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative" (DigiUni)
From October 1 to 4, 2024, a training session titled "University Networks for Enhanced Management Capabilities and New Developments: Best Practices of the University of Strasbourg and the EPICUR Alliance" was held in France at the University of Strasbourg (Université de Strasbourg) as part of the Erasmus+ project "Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative" (DigiUni). Representatives of the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals took part in the event.
On the first day, participants were welcomed by the President of the University of Strasbourg, Michel Deneken, and Vice-President Jean-Marc Plane. A highly engaging presentation was delivered by Professor and former President of the University of Strasbourg, Alain Beretz, titled "Mergers, Alliances, Networks: Are They Assets for Improved and Sustainable Management? - The Experience of the University of Strasbourg." Participants gained insights into the expert's perspective on autonomy, internationalization, and university mergers.
During the training, consortium members were able to study the specifics of establishing university alliances using the example of the European university association EPICUR ("European Partnership for an Innovative Campus Unifying Regions"), led by the Université de Strasbourg, and also learned about practices for the digitalization of science and education in France.
The training participants visited the Data Center and IT network operations facility of the University of Strasbourg and familiarized themselves with practices in distance learning, educational administration, and university management. The rich lecture topics, scientific discussions on digital educational resources, interdisciplinary approaches to healthcare, and legal and technical issues during various training sessions provided the DigiUni project participants with valuable experience for the further implementation of the "Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative" project goals.
