Training within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative" (DigiUni)
Representatives of the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals took part in the training "Digital Teaching in Higher Education: Innovative, Future-Oriented Learning through Innovative Formats, Tools, and Systems," which took place from November 25-28 at the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln) in Germany. The main topics of the training were: digital learning, digital educational content design, learning management systems, and quality assurance in digital education.
The training participants were welcomed by Beatrix Busse, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Learning at the University of Cologne, and Kseniia Smyrnova, project coordinator and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. They outlined the goals and objectives of the training and emphasized the importance of the training-workshop program on mastering the hybrid learning system, monitoring its results, and analyzing quality.
Representatives of the University of Cologne introduced the Ukrainian partners to the university's learning management system, addressed issues related to digital and hybrid teaching and learning formats, and discussed the use of artificial intelligence in creating educational content.
The tour of the educational video content creation laboratory was extremely interesting. Participants were presented with the equipment, the laboratory's operating principles, and educational products.
The training sessions in the World Cafe Workshop format were highly productive; participants worked in groups, developing concepts for online courses and evaluating their quality based on the knowledge gained.
During the training, the consortium members focused on studying and creating mechanisms for implementing the project's quality control and monitoring plan, which is a task of one of the DigiUni project work packages.
The training participants are extremely grateful to their colleagues at the University of Cologne for the intensive training and hospitality.
