Representatives of the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals took part in the training "Digital Teaching in Higher Education: Pioneering, Future-Oriented Learning through Innovative Formats, Tools, and Systems," which took place in Germany at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) at the Institute for Learning Innovation (ILI-FAU) in the city of Fürth.

The Innovation in Learning Institute is a research institute and e-learning center at the University. An interdisciplinary team of about 30 scientists in the fields of humanities and technology researches and develops digital learning methods for students of all age groups. Together with a wide network of European and national partners, ILI implements relevant projects in the field of digitalization of education and training.

The training participants were introduced to the experience of successfully implementing new methods and strategies for digital online learning, cultivated at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. An extremely interesting session was held, during which the problems and potential of remote online assessment were discussed.

The training lectures and seminars focused on how to turn traditional lectures into an interactive, collaborative experience for both the lecturer and the higher education student. During a presentation by Markus Tischner, Head of the Media Production Department at the Institute for Learning Innovation, participants had the opportunity to learn about technologies for creating educational media using AI tools and to apply the knowledge gained in practice immediately.

The consortium members also learned about the "Virtual University of Bavaria" (Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern, vhb) project. The virtual university unites 36 Bavarian universities and is funded by the government of this federal state. Students from the universities participating in the "Virtual University of Bavaria" have the opportunity to study for free and choose CLASSIC vhb courses from a list containing 560 titles. OPEN vhb courses can be used by anyone interested, regardless of age, place of residence, or level of education; these are free online courses.

The training participants are extremely grateful to their colleagues from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg for the intensive training and hospitality.
